Tournament review

CA Schweppes (formerly Chardenet) won its third Spanish title, edging out Español by a fraction, thanks to last round's results where the future champions wiped out Alcoy 4-0 to see Español share points with La Coruña. Español conceded no match loss yet failed to win the championship - that happened to them already two times before, what a bad luck! La Coruña tied on points with defending champions Barcelona and took bronze by virtue of match points. Unión Gracience had magnificent match record (+8 =2 -1) yet only managed fifth place. Pomar and Medina achieved most valuable individual results - 8½ out of 11 each.
