Tournament review

Argentina took second consecutive win in the annual Four Nations tournament. The top seeded team Argentina beat Bulgaria 2½-1½ in the very last round to decide the final standings. Until then, both teams were at joint lead with 5½ points of 8 games. Strong Catalonian team with two 2500 GMs at top boards came in third ahead of the Basque Country team. The Bulgarian team was led by then 18-year-old I. Cheparinov, future World Championship contender.
