Tournament review

Reigning champions Alcoy lost their top player Díez del Corral who moved to La Coruña, and were out of the race. Español, backed by P.Puig and García Orús showed robust form and came first at 28½ points, the only team to avoid match loss. Barcelona, led again by sole Spanish GM Arturo Pomar came second edging Chardenet by tie-break
