Mexico City 1978

  • Games need to be retyped from the bulletin! OlimpBase received complete set of bulletins from the event, but unfortunately very few games are covered by MegaBase. This is why in order to be available at olimpbase.org games have to be rewritten *by hand* from the bulletin (the quality of the print is too bad to use OCR). I have no time to complete this task which is not essential since pure results are available. If you have some idle time and you with to contribute than this is a job for you! The bulletin is available as PDF
  • Qualifying group 4, round 1 ENG-JAM: the bulletin gives the following (obviously wrong) pairing at board #2 "Speelman vs Caro-Kann" (sic!) It is assumed that player with black was neither Caro nor Kann (both dead for a long time) but Mark Cameron.
  • Qualifying group 2, round 3 LUX-ECU: board order for Luxembourg is wrong. Two Webers (who were top two boards) have both Black pieces, which is impossible sinve they only could be fielded at boards #1 and #2 (this having pieces of opposite colours).
  • No information on board prizes.

Mexico City 1980

  • Team line-ups, team pairings and individual results are missing. Some of the games are available but we cannot complete final results table only owing the games.

  • Missing details like time control, trivia etc...

Graz 1981

  • OK!

Chicago 1983

  • OK!

Mendoza 1985

  • Libian squad is not confirmed (names may be misspelled).
  • Qualifying group 1, round 5 LBA-MEX, board #4 from the database: Martin del Campo-Hamouda (he only could play Libyan bottom board=Tareg).
  • Final group C, round 1, match PAN-PUR, board #2: Arosemena-Benitez. Result from database was 1-0. Final position clearly better for White. Sum of point of teams indicated game must have been won by Black.
