A total of 28 teams competed. |
The second Children's Olympiad managed by Bjelica and Karpov attracted 28 teams to a seaside resort of St. Andrew's. There were many club teams among participating nations like Karpov Chess School, Sörös School, Giovanni del Mondo and more. This was possible because the event was not held under FIDE patronage. Ex-World Champion Karpov was a special guest. |
