The chess Balkaniad came back to Turkey after 13 years. Yugoslavia again were missing from the line-up. Romania wiped out Bulgaria 2-0 on the last day to level on game point count, they took final win on due to positive direct match record. Vasiesiu of Romania and Dimitrova of Bulgaria scored 5/6, the two best individual results.
